The writing on the wall---on that fateful day when Babylon fell---was a complex word-puzzle: It was a secret riddle that had to be first decoded before it could be interpreted, (Daniel 5:7).
There are scholars (especially in the past before the advent of the bible code movement) who say that the writing on the wall riddle was written in a style that looks very much like a modern-day bible-codes matrix!
The above painting called, "Belshazzar," was painted by Rembrandt in 1635. (Click on the painting to enlarge.) The letters below are the blowup of the letters on the wall in this painting. The painting demonstrates how the words on the wall were
thought to have been written at the time of Rembrandt. They conjectured that the writing must have been written in some sort of matrix format, and that this, therefore, was why the astrologers could not as much as read the riddle. However, Daniel not only read the words, but
interpreted them also. The four words announced the doom of Babylon and her king.
Though we cannot know for sure whether or not this was how the words actually appeared on the wall, yet certainly this is how they appear in a modern day 'bible-code' matrix. The 15 letters that spell "mene, mene, tekel, uparsin" can be arrayed evenly
at an ELS of either 3 or 5-letter skips, with the result that they appear very similar to Rembrandts famous painting.
The 3 middle letters (as circled) contain a clue that unravels this riddle far beyond what Daniel himself would have been aware of at the time. The message does not contradict Daniel's interpretation, but greatly expands it. Moreover, the bible code
mainly applies "mene, tekel, uparsin" to another besides king Belshazzar. The bible code is applied to none other than the One whose hand it was that wrote on the wall in the first place. As with all of the bible---the message has its ultimate fulfillment in
Jesus Christ!
The three middle letters (circled above) read:, which means: "To go around.' As it turns out, this bible code unravels like
strings of coiled DNA when read in circles! As said before, the 15 letters of the writing on the wall can be arrayed in an even matrix of either 5 x 3 letters, or 3 x 5 letters. The bible code utilizes both matrixes. (See the two matrixes below with the coins superimposed over
the letters). The middle letters of the one matrix, as said, means: "to go around" or, "besiege;" however, the three middle letters of the other matrix is Aramaic for "a shekel." (Chapter 5 of Daniel was written in Aramaic. It appears that there is
a separate Aramaic code here as well, but I have little familiarity with the Aramaic.). When we put these two central words together, we have the key that unlocks this code: The encoded prophecy is read by reading in circles, especially by reading "around the
shekel," (i.e., 'around the coins').
But what coins?
Mene, tekel, and peres were in fact Babylonian coins! (This can be verified by most bible footnotes or bible commentaries).
The totality of the following bible code contains about 200 Hebrew words, translated into about 1000 English words, all derived by the logical sequentialof mainly just these four words, (which were 4
coins): mene, mene, tekel, uparsin.
Though Daniel interpreted these words according to their root meaning, however, these four words, as said, were also Babylonian coins. It would be like saying: "A dollar (coin), a dollar (coin), a penny, and two-half-dollars," except their actual
value would be much larger. The mene-tekel code uses all the various meanings possible for these four simple words and applies them with all the drama of how Daniel himself interpreted them.
An image emerges within the mene-tekel bible code after reading the four words in various, but systematic, circles. It is that of a banner with three
coins.

Personal note: If I had my way I would immediately
take all the codes off the Net, for they are a burden,
and I do not desire anyone to study codes themselves
unless so directed by God. But in the meanwhile, by
this fearful sign, may He fulfill His purpose of
testifying to the nations His coming day of wrath,
which shall come upon all that reject "the banner of
the cross"---the message of salvation, which comes by
faith in Messiah Jesus (Yeshua).
How did God
number Saddam's reign?
On Pentecost,
2000, the picture-code of the
hand that wrote on the palace wall was discovered.
This happened 126
days after the mene-tekel-peres code began to be
deciphered back on Feb. 4, 2000.
The number "126"
is significant because the value of mene, mene,
tekel, uparsin as coins (for they were all ancient
coins), also add up to
126 shekels. (Their
value
as money is key to correctly interpreting this
code.) Moreover, another 126 days elapsed from the day
when President Bush warned Saddam and sons
to flee Babylon (Purim, 2003), until the day
they were slain, (Tam. 22). Moreover, from Feb. 4,
2000, until their deaths was
1260 days
(i.e., 3½-years
of 360-days) + 3½ days, at which time
3½-men
(Saddam's grandson was but a lad, i.e., 'half-a-man')
were slain in a 3½-hour
gun battle (9:50 am to 1:20 pm), which was
3½ months
after Iraq/Babylon fell, (April 9, [Nisan 7], 2003).
The two bodies were exposed to the whole world for
another 3½-days,
even as the world rejoiced. (Compare these
antithetical events with that of
the two
witnesses of Revelation 11.)
Update: Several years after this article
was written, as expected, Saddam was
executed by hanging 1260 + 1260 days
after the mene bible code began to be
deciphered on Feb. 4, 2000. See "Saddam
hangs on exact day predicted by Bible Code
seven years in advance, detailing both how
and when."
Why the
repetition of '3½'?
The repetition
of '3½' symbolizes the cutting short of a
complete span of seven, (cf. Daniel 9:24-27. "Seven"
is the number of 'completion' in the bible, and
half-of-seven is also common in the bible). This also
agrees with the interpretation given to Daniel:
"Peres:" Your kingdom is divided (in half)."
And
so Saddam's reign ended; it was "cut short." For,
rather than lasting 70
full years, instead, it was "cut short" and divided in
half, that is, it was cut short to
35 years (and
a day)! Jeremiah the prophet declared:
"And it shall come to pass, when
seventy years are
accomplished, that I will punish the king of
Babylon, (i.e., 'Belshazzar', about whom the
code initially speaks)," (Jer. 25:12, cf., Daniel
9).
Saddam's
younger son Qusay is a type of Belshazzar in
that Saddam considered himself as another
Nebuchadnezzar thus making Saddam's son another
'Belshazzar' since Belshazzar was the son of
Nebuchadnezzar. Saddam's son is therefore a fitting
candidate for a modern-day repeat fulfillment of this
bible-code prophecy initially about Belshazzar.
However, Qusay never made it to sole power, for the
regimes' 70-year reign was 'cut short'. The regime
began its reign of terror in July (Tammuz 21)
of 1968, and ended Tammuz 22 (July 22),
2003, with the death of Saddam's son and would-be
successor Qusay. (Interestingly, "1968" is
1260 x 2years after the first year of the
reign of Belshazzar in 553 BC; cf., Daniel 7). As we
shall see, all these numbers (and much more)
are intrinsic to the numerical aspect of this code
because 126 shekels (the value of all four
coins) equates to 1260
x 2 gerahs! (There are
20
gerahs to a shekel, Ex. 30:13, Lev. 27:25, etc.)
And, 1260 x 2 days is the same as 3½
x 2 years, that is, 7 years.
Other numeric
notations will be mentioned later. The numbers,
the codes, and the pictures they
produce, compose a
tri-part language---three witnesses that this is
"truly, truly" the hand of God! Recall Daniel's
original prophecy:
MENE; God hath numbered
thy kingdom... TEKEL; thou art weighed
(tested) in the balances... PERES; thy
kingdom is divided... (Daniel
5:26-27).
Hence, the
bible codes fitting emphasis throughout on
numbering, testing, and
dividing. If this 'code' were mere chance
phenomena, there would not be this consistent theme
woven throughout its lengthy discourse, nor could it
predict the
future!

The
actual code was published two months before the
Twin Towers fell and has not
been altered since then. The parallels between the
code and Saddam and sons are obvious. Also keep in
mind that 'mene,' 'tekel,' and 'peres,' were three
Babylonian coins. In the code, the "mina' represents
the Redeemer, 'Jesus.' The two sons of Saddam together
represent their father. Therefore, when the code
refers to 'he,' it refers to either Saddam's slain
son, Qusay, (who was to be Saddam's successor), or it
refers to both sons collectively. (The price put on
Saddam's head is worth 25
million---and '25'
is half a Hebrew mina; and
his two sons together were worth
30-million in reward, and '30'
was half a Babylonian
mina. Thus, Saddam and both-sons represent a half-mina
["parsin,"]
"parsin" can literally mean "two-half [minas]!"
Hence, the title of these documents, "Mene, Mene: The
Sum of Two Evils".)
'Tekel' means 'to weigh' (test)
or 'pay.' "TEKEL: You have been weighed on the scales
and found wanting," (Daniel 5:27). Both Saddam and his
sons literally kept weight of their servants,
and if they were found too heavy, they were punished!
Thus, God is 'paying' them pack what they deserve, for
Saddam and sons have been found too light!
The
full banner/flag picture is at left. The straight line
represents the 'pole', whereas the top is the 'flag' with
three coins as its insignia. (Flag-top is enlarged on
right side.) The actual mene-tekel code is encoded within
the bible-text words "mene, mene, tekel, uparsin," which
forms this flag-top. The line of code that composes the
'pole' of itself divides the 'pole' at the middle
by snapping the 'pole' into two pieces! (You can read more
about the 'pole' and how it is formed
here.)
First we look at what the
'pole' reads
before we come to the actual mene-tekel-peres main
code (i.e., the flag-top). The pole reads:
"Concerning your beauty, itis being searched out by him.
{See Daniel 5:18,
"O king (Belshazzar), the Most High God granted
sovereignty, grandeur, glory, and majesty to
Nebachadnezzar you father."}
And on account of its
height the Manna, a Lion, and a Mina shall
measure it!
And because of my rejection, now
he is being rejected!
More than a piece/pole, he cut
off; she (i.e., Babylon) was severed in
two!
Wrath is pent up from God against
her!
They put God to the test!
"You (too) ran from God!"
"Flee, O'
Thomas, to the banner (of the cross)
---to the Flawless One of God, Flee, O'
Thomas!"
(Thomas remained shut up by God,
having fled to the banner.)"

on these enigmatic words now, we will proceed to the
mene-tekel-code proper, for the mene-code will
interpret them for us.}
{My comments are
bracketed in burgundy. The code initially applied to
Belshazzar as contrasted with Jesus, his executioner,
but it also applies to Saddam and sons, who, in turn,
are a sign to all God's enemies. Keep in mind that
Iraq is literally ancient Babylon.}

is the mene-tekel-code, published 2 years ago.

(They number 30
shekels, or 6-6-6! And also 1260 x 2 gerahs. And
they were besieged 390 and 430 days.)
'I will test them
with this oracle!'
{As with the hand-code,
the above title is taken from the four corners of the
code itself, and is a fitting summary to the rest of
the code. You, too, my friend, will be tested by what
you are about to read! Both your interpretation and
application will be tested/weighed.
The entire code is
deciphered by reading around the coins. As a matter of
fact, the middle coin (a shekel) reads across,
"go around," and crisscrossing it downward reads,
"shekel." Thus together it reads, "go around the
shekel (to decipher)", which is the clue that unlocks
this remarkable code within a code! The word, "go
around" also means, "to besiege," and is a play on
words, because, Belshazzar, the lowly 'shekel' of the
code, was besieged by the Medes and the Persians that
very night the hand wrote this code on the wall---the
same night in which he was slain! Such double (and
even quadruple) plays on words reside throughout this
entire code, almost every line!
As
said, the circles around the letters represent
coins, and the coins are the insignia upon a
flag/banner. This is apparent for many reasons, as
discussed
here. The lighter coins represent Saddam and sons,
as it did also Belshazzar. As Belshazzar and his
astrologers were tested with the secret message on the
wall, "mene, mene, tekel, uparsin," so now the encoded
message within this same secret message
has come as a warning sign and tester/weigher of the
hearts of men. For unless a man's heart is right, he
cannot discern the code, just as Belshazzar's
astrologers could not. For 'mene-mene-tekel-uparsin'
appeared again secretly, the night of the world-wide
millennium party on Jan. 1, 2000, just as it did
during Belshazzar's party. It came a second time for a
sign and prophecy that 'the kingdoms of this world are
soon to become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His
Christ,' Revelation 11:15.
Dan 12:7-10 "...it shall be for
a time, times, and a half;
{i.e., 1260 days}...
And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my
lord, what shall be the issue of these things?
And he said, Go thy
way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed till
the time of the end. Many
shall purify themselves, and make themselves white,
and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and
none of the wicked shall understand; but they that are
wise shall understand."}
"Truly, truly,
this is the banner that heals them!
Our oracle is a banner (or
'wonder') that brings healing!
{The code begins the
prophecy on a
solemn double oath. The phrase, "Truly, truly," (or,
"Amen, amen;" "Verily verily" in the KJV, ASV) is
found 25 times in the book of John, as quoting Jesus.
Here are a few examples. (These examples are similar
to the message of the code itself since the code
likewise refers to Jesus as the manna from Heaven that
the grumbling Israelites ate in the wilderness, and as
the bronze serpent upon the pole/banner that brought
healing to those that before grumbled.) Jesus said:
"Verily,
verily,("Truly, truly")
I say unto thee, We
speak that which we know, and bear witness of that
which we have seen; and ye receive not our
witness...as Moses lifted up the serpent in the
wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted
up; that
whosoever believeth may in him have eternal life."
(John 3:11-16)
"Jesus answered
them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw signs, but
because ye ate of the loaves, and were filled."
(John 6:26)
"Verily, verily,
I say unto you, He that believeth hath eternal
life." (John 6:47)
Thus the bible code
begins by reading, "Verily, verily, even this is the
flag/banner/pole/wonder that brings healing..." That
is, it heals the soul of all who look upon Jesus
(Yeshua) as Messiah.
At times, the
first-person plural "Our" and "We" is similarly used
in the bible when God speaks and is suggestive of the
Trinity, though others argue that it simply represents
'the plural of majesty,' or of 'God's heavenly
councilors,' i.e., angels. However, the opening phrase
literally reads, "Amen! Amen! And the banner...
Our oracle..." This three-part opening statement to me
implies the Triune God!}
"MENE":
("Mene"
can mean 'numbered,' or a coin called a 'mina,'
worth 60 shekels.)
"They numbered Me, (the
One being rejected!)"
Turn/repent here on account of our
oracle!
We will instruct (you) here!
Because of His faithfulness we will
instruct (you) here;
(or, "...we will
chastise here," cf., Isa. 53:5)
because of the Faithful One and the
banner/wonder/cross that heals them.
Our oracle is a banner/wonder/cross
that brings healing!

{The bible makes the
prediction
that Jesus would be "numbered with the transgressors,"
and "rejected by men," (Isaiah 53:12). For this
reason, God's enemies will be numbered for slaughter!
As a matter of fact, they literally numbered Saddam
and sons as three high aces in their assessment of
them among all the other wanted men.
This line "the One
being rejected!" may also read: "Turn here at our
oracle (prophecy). This line both means, 'to repent at
the oracle,' but amazingly it also means, 'to turn
"here" (at this spot) in the oracle'---which is
what we must eventually do (on the 7th time around) in
order to read the rest of the code! By use of
word-plays, the bible code contains internal
instructions for decoding---yet without encumbering
the message! Recall the three middle letters that told
us to "go around" whereby the code is deciphered. The
word "go around" also means 'to besiege', which is
what Belshazzar was experiencing that very moment!
This is also true of the words, "the One encrypting
them" (i.e., "encrypting the words"), which can also
mean, "the one shutting them up," just as Belshazzar
was shut up at that time unable to leave Babylon!
Thus, the bible code contains double meanings: the one
reading proclaims the actual oracle (prophecy) while
the other instructs how the oracle is to be
unraveled---yet God uses plays on words to avoid
distracting us from the message itself! Surely such a
masterful play on words is "truly" the hand of God!
This part of the code completes seven full times
around the three middle letters that read "Tekel".
Thus the code encircles/besieges the middle
three-letter word 'tekel' ('shekel') by going around
it seven times by utilizing the remaining 12
outer letters. The numeric points to the besiegement
of Babylon by the 12 tribes of Israel the same
way the 12 tribes of Israel besieged Jericho seven
times before it fell. However, all this in turn is
illustrative of Christ besieged/encircled on the
cross/pole/banner by wicked men, (Ps. 22:12). He is
the "Shekel" being weighed in the balances for us,
which is indeed what the middle shekel-coin reads when
the coin itself is likewise read in a circle! Awesome!
"We
will instruct (you) here..." {"Here"
is spelt as in Job 38:11.} Where is "here"?
"Here" (cf., Deut. 5:31; Ex. 24:12) refers to the very
oracle/code itself. And thus "here' indirectly refers
to the banner/message of the cross since the
code forms the image of the banner of the cross, that
is, the image of a flag/banner/pole (Hebrew "Nas")
with the emblem of three coins upon the flag/banner!
{The coins represent Belshazzar, but they also
represent Jesus who replaces Belshazzar as 'King of
kings'. Jesus is the besieged "Mina" upon the
pole/cross, yet regarded by men as a lowly Shekel ---
even a "Half-shekel"! Also see above image of the pole.}
"We will instruct
(you) here..." The word "instruct" has the idea
of correction and sometimes chastisement,
and is often used in terms of God's
covenant-"faithfulness". It is the perfect Hebrew word
to use in this context and alludes to a number of
biblical passages such as Lev. 26:18, 28; Deut. 8:5;
Pro. 1:1-8; and Isa. 53:5. Concerning Isa. 53:5, the
code may read, "We will chastise here." That is, the
cross/pole is the place where Christ would be
chastised for the healing of the people as per the
prophecy of Isa. 53:5. "He was pierced for our
transgressions... the chastisement that
brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we
are healed."}
They put a flawless One to the test---The
'Mina'--- (the very redemption price) of God! (Click here for
alternate reading.)
[They put a flawless One to the

God! Saddam and his wicked sons put Jesus, the
flawless Mina of God, to the test in many ways. The
code will later inform us that the main reason they
stood condemned was that they refused to believe the
message of the cross/banner.]
for the message will be carefully
concealed (encrypted)!"

{This applies to both
Saddam and Jesus---but as opposites. First, a
look at how it applies to Jesus:
As
Redeemer (mina),
He hung
on the cross and let out a loud cry upon His death,
and the veil in the temple was torn in two allowing
one to see right into the Most Holy Place in the
temple.
"And Jesus cried
again with a loud voice, and yielded up his
spirit. And behold, the veil of the temple was
rent in two from the top to the bottom," (Mat
27:50-51).
The bible code connects
this event to the fact that when the veil/seal was
removed at His death/resurrection, the mysteries of
God were all loosed, (Revelation 5). However, they are
nevertheless concealed to man until the day of God's
choosing. (See Daniel 9:24-27.) This particular oracle
about Christ, for instance, was hidden ("encrypted")
within the "mene-mene-tekel-uparsin" words 2500 years
until the day He choose to reveal it! That, in itself,
is a sign to us that we are in the last days! The book
of Hebrews (10:20) tells us that this torn veil
symbolizes His flesh, and thus the latter part of the
code about 'the mina being painfully torn in half
to become a half-mina' bears special meaning. This
also helps explain why the code immediately after that
says, "Nevertheless, He will blind their eyes."
Those that refuse to see, He blinds!
The words, "The message
will be carefully encrypted" literally reads, "'It"
will be carefully encrypted." The word "encrypted" has
the root meaning of, "to plug up" something, as in a
hole. The immediate context refers to 'the message'
as the thing "plugged up"; however, the subsequent
context implies that it is also 'the empty tomb'
that is sealed, or, carefully plugged up. It is
interesting that 1335 days (Daniel
12:12, cf., Daniel 9:24-27) after the hand-code
appeared (Pentecost, 2000), it was announced to the
world that Saddam's hiding hole was to be 'carefully
plugged up' with cement, (Feb. 3, 2004, traditional
anniversary date of Luke 2:21-38. Compare Daniel
12:9-13 with Luke 2:25-30). Then they went and instead
"sealed" it secretly the next day with a 300 pound
slab of cement. This also makes 1335 days since the
hand-code appeared at about 11:30 p.m. Pentecost 2000,
and with the 8 hour time-zone difference to our EST,
this makes the sealing of the 'tomb' (hole) in Iraq
indeed 1335 days! Thus the code reads: "Shout
aloud, "It will be carefully plugged up!"'" (i.e.,
"sealed.")
Also notice that the
bible prophecy of the 1290 and 1335 days of Daniel 12
occurs at "the bank of the (Tigris) river",
which is also where Saddam's hole was located!
Opposite the Tigris river was his palace (in contrast
to his shack), and Daniel 12:5 reads: "...one stood on
this side of the (Tigris) river and the other on the
opposite side..." (Daniel 12:5). In the same way, on
this side and that of the expanse of heaven resided
Jesus' glorious throne in contrast to His lowly manger
and tomb. The comparison is particularly compelling
when we note that Saddam arose from his pit 1290 days
after the anniversary of when Jesus ascended up into
the heavens returning back to His throne! (See Daniel
12:11-12.) Clearly, Saddam is a type of Antichrist,
who mirrors the true Christ.
The sealing
of the hole seems to signal the closing of this bible
code for a season? Its future opening doubtless will
portent an important relate
As
we shall see from
the
rest of the code, Saddam parallels the death and
resurrection of Christ by means of sharp satirical
contrasts. All four gospels record that the very
first '"message" commanded to be preached was the
resurrection of Jesus from his 'sealed' tomb.
Also, the very next chapter in the book of Daniel (ch.
6) sees Daniel thrown into the lions den (with the den
then 'sealed'); nevertheless, Daniel (in a figure)
rises from the dead the next morning and his escape
from death proclaimed in all the earth, (Daniel
6:25-27; cf., Daniel 9:24-27). This is a clear type
and figure of the proclamation of the good news of the
resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead! At the
resurrection of Jesus, both the tomb and the message
are unsealed and unstopped. In sharp contrast,
however, the military "sealed up" Saddam's 'tomb'
(hole) for the expressed purpose of 'stopping up' the
spread of Saddam's warped fame! (See Matt.
27:62-66---both the tomb of Jesus, and the hole of
Saddam were heavily guarded by soldiers, and sealed to
stop the spread of their fame---the one in Jerusalem
and the other in Babylon (Iraq); (cf., Revelation
17-18 with 21-22.) This is merely the first in a long
series of biting contrasts prophesied to occur between
that of Saddam (and sons) with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Moreover, keep in mind that, amazingly, this code
initially applied to Daniel and Belshazzar, with these
two likewise held in sharp contrast! This contrast is
especially evident immediately after Daniel decodes
the writing on the wall; i.e., Daniel is exalted while
Belshazzar is slain, (Daniel 5:29,30).
the Mighty One who
was numbered cried aloud: "It is finished!"
(or "...the Mina of God cried
out!")
The mighty Mina will
be hidden away! (And/or
"'God's numbering' or 'manna' or 'prophecy' will be
hidden away!")
(Or
may read: "They put a flawless One to the
test---The Mina of God!
"Shout aloud, O' Mina! for it [the prophecy]
will be kept secret!"
Or,
"They put a flawless one to the test!
Mene:
a Mighty one cried out, "Let (the message) be
carefully concealed!")
This reading is
reinforced by what the prophecy says
next:
"(He cried out; having
been pierced He groaned.)...You will most certainly be
weighed/paid, O' enemy! For He is risen
and is taking revenge!...He will be appointed to
a fear-inspiring right-hand! Rise up! You shall cast
him down, and his rebellion!" etc... }

Prophetic Picture Code was revealed as the full moon of Nov. 23,
2018, the anniversary of “The abomination that causes desolation”.
These signs occurred seven times 365.25 years from
the Fall of Babylon in 539 BC. (Left chart is a calendar of

Feb 1 and March 1, 2019. (Deaths: Saddam on Dec 29, 2006

, which means: "To go around.' As it turns out, this bible code unravels like strings of coiled DNA when read in circles! As said before, the 15 letters of the writing on the wall can be arrayed in an even matrix of either 5 x 3 letters, or 3 x 5 letters. The bible code utilizes both matrixes. (See the two matrixes below with the coins superimposed over the letters). The middle letters of the one matrix, as said, means: "to go around" or, "besiege;" however, the three middle letters of the other matrix is Aramaic for "a shekel." (Chapter 5 of Daniel was written in Aramaic. It appears that there is a separate Aramaic code here as well, but I have little familiarity with the Aramaic.). When we put these two central words together, we have the key that unlocks this code: The encoded prophecy is read by reading in circles, especially by reading "around the shekel," (i.e., 'around the coins').

And so Saddam's reign ended; it was "cut short." For, rather than lasting 70 full years, instead, it was "cut short" and divided in half, that is, it was cut short to 35 years (and a day)! Jeremiah the prophet declared:

The actual mene-tekel code is encoded within the bible-text words "mene, mene, tekel, uparsin," which forms this flag-top. The line of code that composes the 'pole' of itself divides the 'pole' at the middle by snapping the 'pole' into two pieces! (You can read more about the 'pole' and how it is formed here.) First we look at what the 'pole' reads before we come to the actual mene-tekel-peres main code (i.e., the flag-top). The pole reads:

As said, the circles around the letters represent coins, and the coins are the insignia upon a flag/banner. This is apparent for many reasons, as discussed here. The lighter coins represent Saddam and sons, as it did also Belshazzar. As Belshazzar and his astrologers were tested with the secret message on the wall, "mene, mene, tekel, uparsin," so now the encoded message within this same secret message has come as a warning sign and tester/weigher of the hearts of men. For unless a man's heart is right, he cannot discern the code, just as Belshazzar's astrologers could not. For 'mene-mene-tekel-uparsin' appeared again secretly, the night of the world-wide millennium party on Jan. 1, 2000, just as it did during Belshazzar's party. It came a second time for a sign and prophecy that 'the kingdoms of this world are soon to become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ,' Revelation 11:15.
As Redeemer (mina), He hung on the cross and let out a loud cry upon His death, and the veil in the temple was torn in two allowing one to see right into the Most Holy Place in the temple.
As we shall see from the rest of the code, Saddam parallels the death and resurrection of Christ by means of sharp satirical contrasts. All four gospels record that the very first '"message" commanded to be preached was the resurrection of Jesus from his 'sealed' tomb. Also, the very next chapter in the book of Daniel (ch. 6) sees Daniel thrown into the lions den (with the den then 'sealed'); nevertheless, Daniel (in a figure) rises from the dead the next morning and his escape from death proclaimed in all the earth, (Daniel 6:25-27; cf., Daniel 9:24-27). This is a clear type and figure of the proclamation of the good news of the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead! At the resurrection of Jesus, both the tomb and the message are unsealed and unstopped. In sharp contrast, however, the military "sealed up" Saddam's 'tomb' (hole) for the expressed purpose of 'stopping up' the spread of Saddam's warped fame! (See Matt. 27:62-66---both the tomb of Jesus, and the hole of Saddam were heavily guarded by soldiers, and sealed to stop the spread of their fame---the one in Jerusalem and the other in Babylon (Iraq); (cf., Revelation 17-18 with 21-22.) This is merely the first in a long series of biting contrasts prophesied to occur between that of Saddam (and sons) with the Lord Jesus Christ. Moreover, keep in mind that, amazingly, this code initially applied to Daniel and Belshazzar, with these two likewise held in sharp contrast! This contrast is especially evident immediately after Daniel decodes the writing on the wall; i.e., Daniel is exalted while Belshazzar is slain, (Daniel 5:29,30).
This Prophetic Picture Code was revealed as the full moon of Nov. 23, 2018, the anniversary of “The abomination that causes desolation”. These signs occurred seven times 365.25 years from the Fall of Babylon in 539 BC. (Left chart is a calendar of events.)
